Designed with speed and safety in mind
Vacuum iso fiberglass with 15 mm hard core foam. Fibreglass around the keel section reinforced with roving to 22 mm thickness. 4 ribs laminated in keel section to transfer forces of keel loads. Water and cove lines laminated in gelcoat.
Standard color; Dark blue ( Ral 5004) cove and waterline white.
The deck is build according to the sandwich principle with 15 mm hard core foam. Anti-slip structure is laminated into deck and cockpit floor. The anchor well is incorporated in the foredeck. The rail for the self-tacking jib has been incorporated in the front of the mast. The furling system of the self-tacking jib is placed underneath the deck, this means the foot of the jib runs smoothly over deck.
The deck is equipped with four foldable cleats to securely moor your Saffier.
The large cockpit of the Saffier Se 27 Leisure facilitates up to 8 people. All sheets, trimlines and control lines run under deck to the helmsman’s position for easy sail handling when you are sailing alone. All ropes will be stored in the storage divider compartments in the benches on each side making use of your sheets, halyards and control lines logical and ordered.
The large sundeck provides a great lounge area. There is a large storage compartment underneath the sundeck for fenders, swimming ladder and a fridge. The seating height and high backrest makes sure you will sit comfortable on the Saffier Se 27 Leisure. A store away table can be installed to have lunch or diner in the cockpit, this table can be used inside as well.
A dinghy sailer will prefer the tiller, while coming back from a larger yacht you might prefer the steering wheel. What ever you choose, both systems are well integrated in the design of the Saffier Se 27 Leisure.
Solid lead keel with 4 x 22 mm bolts and nuts. The keel is a Naca profile for maximum performance. Standard draft is 1,40 mtr, the race keel is 1.65 mtr and the shallow draft keel* of 1.05 mtr in combination with twin rudders for shallow waters.
The deep balanced spade rudder ( Jefa) fitted in needle bearings with carbon tiller and tiller extension will deliver the right grip in water and sensitive feel while steering.
A pedestal* with a Carbon look steering wheel* for even more steering comfort can be installed.
An autopilot* fitted underdecks will helm the boat for you while you trimming the sheets or relaxing on the boat while sailing or on engine.
The new Saffier Se 27 Leisure is standard equipped Torqeedo 4.0 POD electric engine with the Power 48-5000 battery including side control throttle, charger and shore power cable all by Torqeedo.
This combinations runs the boat for appr. to 5 hours*** on engine.
The standard mast, boom and spreaders are made of aluminum and is produced by Selden.
Main, jib and code zero halyards are equipped with shackles.
All shrouds, fittings, shackles and turnbuckles are made of high quality 316 stainless steel.
The mast can set and lowered by hand with 2 or 3 experience people.
A mastbracket (optional) for the Raymarine displays with speed, depth, windspeed and angle can be installed on the mast. If you want to navigate from behind the steering wheel we can install a chartplotter on the steeringwheel console.
Designed with speed and safety in mind
To achieve high speeds she has modern hull lines with a good form stability. This is achieved with a flat underwater section in the hull and a 2.60 m beam. Weight reduction is also important. Aside from building the hull and deck in sandwich and vacuumed she is, as standard, fitted out with a 4.0 Kw Torqeedo engine with Lithium battery and folding prop. The complete electric propulsion is 70% lighter then a comparable diesel engine alone. The solid lead keel gives her a high righting moment and combining this with a powerful rig, the Saffier Se 27 Leisure is able to surf and stay in full plane downwind, while pointing high and fast upwind.
